Hi, I am using the gym almost exclusively for swimming and has the following problem.
1. The pool is used by external trainers 95% of the time.
2. The rest of the club therefor has 3 lanes to excersize in.
3. The club is one of the busiest, it is unfair, especially with triathlon season that started to have 3 lanes for the rest of the club. Please let me know how many members it is per lane...
4. It is not on the timetable when there will only be three lanes. Put the full pool availability on the website so it is possible to plan ahead.
Previous solutions was that members must share a lane. It is unfortunately not practical. We tried swimming 4 people in a lane last evening. It has the same effect to have 4 people running in one lane on a athletics field, with everyone on different speed, distance, fitness level and some people running swinging arms side to side. It does not work.
I have the follow solutions, I would appreciate any one of these.
1. Move some of the classes to Durbanville swimming pool that is hardly being used.
2. External classes only allowed in off-peak times.
3. Give me access to Durbanville gym/swimming pool as well.
