I arrived at the pool this afternoon (Sunday 19 Jan) at about 5pm to do my swimming after working all day Sat and Sun.
When I entered the pool area before entering the water I noticed that the pool floor was extremely dirty in all areas of the pool. I couldn't really see what the dirt was but I got in and started my swim. After about 5 lengths I then realised that the dirt was also floating in the water. I immediately stopped swimming and managed to signal to a member of the gym and asked for the manager on duty. Palesa then arrived and I bought to her attention how disgustingly dirty the pool was, she seemed a bit surprised and said she wasn't aware that it was so dirty!! I asked her if she would swim in the pool in that condition and her reply was "no"!!! I then said why should a paying member of the public be expected to swim in such a dirty pool. I asked her what the dirt was. Her response then horrified me - she explained to me that the roof ceiling high above the pool had been cleaned that morning and the dirt in the pool was from the inside roof as it had fallen from the top and into the pool but they had not bothered to clean the pool after. How disgusting is that!!!
