I was recently retrenched and upon calling the call centre to explain that I can no longer afford the contract I was immediately made to smile with their creative greeting and once I explained my situation I was presented with an option to freeze my contract for 3 months to give me a chance to sort out my affairs. Once I agreed it was done with in seconds.
This is an absolutely great service from Virgin Active, as I have been dealing with other companies regarding the retrenchment issue and none have offered me this type of leniency and compassion.
