I opened a fitness account for myself and my fiance with the expectation that the company I am joining is top class but instead what I got was false advertising. I was told by the staff at Virgin Active in Mitchell's Plain that I only had to pay a once off payment of R800.00 for 2 people and then pay the monthly fee of about R68.00 per month per person. The next month, Virgin Active tried to debit my account with an additional R1000.00, after I was told by the staff member who assisted me that I do not have to pay more than R68.00 per person per month. This question i asked several times and was told the exact same answer several times. I contacted the accounts department after this occurrence and to this day, the matter has not been resolved. I have been trying to correct this issue since May 2013. I refuse to pay the outstanding amount as i was misled at the beginning when I opened the account with their company. This is not what I was expecting from such a world class company and I have lost total faith and respect for this company.
