I joined Virgin Active, and a few months later had to suspend my account for months as I had to suddenly leave the country for work. After I called and had my account put on hold for 3 months, money was still taken off my account for the full membership fee.
When I arrived back, I called to ask to cancel my account as I have to move permanently overseas. I was told this was done. Then I get a call stating I hadn't paid a month later!!! Then I called and cancelled my membership AGAIN which I was told was complete.
A few days ago my membership fee was debited off my account again, which I now can't cancel until the fee is returned. Prolonging my entire process of leaving the country, because of the inadequacy of Virgin Active. I was told numerous times that someone would call me back and finalise, but nothing, as long as Virgin Active keeps (that's what it is according to the Consumer Protection Act) money out of my account- they're happy.
No worry about their customers.
