Debits without permission

In December i cancelled my membership as i was not using the gym. I was called by the manager who told me they would give me a 3 month free membership to see if i may use the gym and if i did not the contract would fall away. Today Ii was debited by virgin active, i never ever said i wanted to activate my membership again, i would love for virgin active to furnish the proof showing that i wanted to keep my contract, this is against the consumer protection act, it makes me sick that these companies can simply approve these debits without even getting some sort of approval from the account holder. i want the money refunded to me immediately, and i want the membership cancelled as i requested in December immediately.
