I've been trying to cancel my debit order as my for the last 12 months. According to Virgin Active I cannot cancel the debit order even if I choose to pay cash. The best part is that my contract has expired and that I am on a monthly contract with them. I have fore filled my contractual obligation and wish to reduce the debit orders on my account. Every time I stop the debit order at the bank they simply change the reference on the debit order and it goes through again. I am only with them as there is no other gym in my area I can go to. Seems like Virgin can't be trusted.
