I was on a virgin active membership for a month then i joined the multipy package, My medical Aid then cancelled their relations to Multipy and I was forced to go on a normal contract with Virgin Active, which i was on for almost a year. So effectively once i joined from January 2011 up to March 2012 I was at the gym for a year and 2 months,
When i was pregnant in March i asked virgin active to cancel my account, and the call center agent said my contract still has 4 months. I now want to join and i was forced to pay R1650.00 for the months that i cancelled my debit order.
I feel like going to Planet Fitness and Virgin Active is rediculous.
So its fine to join Mulitply and be at the same gym but when mulitply cancelled I needed to sign a brand new year contract even though ive been at the gym for 6 months already,
They are just scamming you to stay another six months longer.
After I tried to cancel my account and they said i need to pay extra fees, i stopped my debit order. I now want to join and i was forced to pay R1650.00 for the months that i cancelled my debit order, even though i did ask them to cancel my contract and they only did it 3 months later.
Pathetic!!!
