Debit order goes through bank acc without signing

My 18 year old son was pressurised to sign a contract with Virgin Active, He has an existing contract that my husband signed for him 18 months ago and he enquired about the benefits of the family joining Vitality from 1 June 2013. 23 May my son is informed that our Vitality membership is on the system. 24 May they try to get him to sign a new contract, although I am the Discovery/Vitality member. I get involved and inform the club Friday 24 May that I will call my broker and make an educated decision. 28 May my son is asked to sign a debit order on his savings account, he is a student and doesn't earn an income. The same gentleman calls me and tells me my son has cancelled his existing contract (Contract between my husband and Virgin, how can my son cancel that) He tells me to come to the gym so that he can explain to me what is going on. We later discover that Virgin Active has sent a debit order through my husband's account on 27 May for the joining fee and the contract has not been signed. NO ONE HAS AUTHORISED THE DEBIT order AND our VITALITY membership is only valid 1 JUNE 2013!!!
