After taking out 2 contracts with Rocky Slater Gym Vanderbijl Park in Nov/Dec 2009, I personally cancelled them in Jan 2010 before relocating to KZN. However I was told that I would have to pay only 1 months fees as a penalty and that no documents were needed to cancel as the contracts were so new. Now, over 3 years later, I am being handed over to Creditworx for R13 000 because they do not have proof of the cancellation. However, why then if the contract " wasnt cancelled", did the debit orders stop going off, and did I not once receive a phone call even though the details had remained the same? I refuse to believe that they could not get hold of me for 3 years on the same number, or just carry on taking off the debit order if someone there did not cancel the contracts as requested? I was only contacted now, not even by the gym itself, after applying for vehicle finance... but tell me this... why then wasnt i contacted when applying for vehicle finance in 2011? This is all suspicious, and I am disgusted at this situation because it makes no logical sense and is clearly a MAJOR error on the gym's part? STILL GETTING NO FEEDBACK FROM THEM, ONLY SAYING I MUST PAY AND THEY CANT HELP!
