I went to Planet Fitness in Sandton on the 27.01.2013 to cancel. Was told she would submit my cancellation on my behalf. I also e-mailed them on the same day of which I have proof. I was told someone would contact me yet I am still waiting. My friend who was also a member terminated his membership same day. On the 09.02.2013 after hearing nothing, my friend and I drove to Pretoria to terminate this membership. At the counter I submitted proof by e-mailing them proof that I had tried to terminate my membership. I have proof of this e-mail as well. I was assured that my membership would be terminated and that my last debit would be taken in February 2013. I then went to Clearwater Mall FNB and was assisted to cancel the debit order at the ATM which I did and after that no more debits came off my account until this morning just after 5am an sms came through indicating that an odd amount of R355 was debited frim my account by Planet Fitness. Who authorised that transaction?? I want my money plus bank charges back this week as I urgently need it for transport to work. Else I will call on the CPA and small claims court to settle this matter. I am most disappointed Planet Fitness!
