Empty promises about membership fees

My daughter was a member at Virgin Active and ended her membership via Virgin Active's webpage in November 2012. She phoned to confirm that this will be all she need to do. Since ending her membership Virgin Active continued to deduct the membership fees. As she stopped working to start her studies she did not always had the funds available. Virgin Active just keep om promising to stop deducting the fees but only did that after I had a few harsh words with them in March 2013. They kept on promising to pay back her money. The amount due to her is
R1637 which also include penalties at the bank.

Here by I give notice that I will be ending my membership as of end of November 2012 due to personal reasons.

I have made numerous phone calls and send e-mails only to recieve empty promises.
Looking at all the complaints on this website it seems that Virgin Active is really out to people.
