I went to Cash Crusaders to lay buy a Playstation 2 and a bag. I found both of the products and went on to pay for the sale. At their counter the sales person swiped my card on one of their machines and I entered my pin. The machine returned an error message. So the sales person assumed that the transaction did not go through, as I also thought because I do not have phone notification.
After the message was printed, I swiped on their second machine where it worked properly, and I signed for the transaction. Later that day to my surprise my bank balance was diminished, then I went to my bank (ABSA) to get a bank statement. The bank statement clearly states that Cash Crusaders billed me twice, even though one of their machines showed an error report.
So I went to Cash Crusaders to request a refund of R500, they are refusing to listen to reason, even though I showed them the bank statement showing the transaction went through. Please assist me in getting my money back.
