RESIZED WEDDING BAND DISINTEGRATES

1. I was quoted costs for Resizing my Wedding Band, accepted, and handed in my ring;
2. Months after collecting, the ring started to show signs of slight crack at the spine and I took it back for opinion and was given another Quote to fix crack - which 2nd quote was close to buying new one;
3. While shopping around for opinion / better quote, I also took it by luck to original manufacturer - Arthur Kaplan - whose opinion was that the type of ring was not resizeable in the 1st place;
4. Galaxy & Co Centurion (Francois) then admitted after the fact that they were not accredited to do repair work on jewellery that originates elsewhere (i.e. Arthur Kaplan), but they will not accept responsibility as the Salesperson who accepted the ring, thereby acting against policy, no longer works there;
5. I then escalated to Customer Services, Cape Town and Scott Townsley's response was, 'Unfortunately we are not in a position to refund this purchase due to the following reasons:- (a) The ring was not purchased at Galaxy but was purchased elsewhere. (b) This extreme damage could have been prevented.
6. Ever since, Kim Adriaanse has repeatedly not honoured commitments to revert back.
