Secunda Meltz is having a Closing down sale. We went to shop there, bought for a total of R200. I asked the Cashier to please deduct my total of loyalty points from my purhase, as I am not going to be able to use the card again. I handed my card to her, she swiped it, and said I need a bank card now. Upon exiting the store I realized, she didn't deduct my R6 from my purchase. (Min amount, goes about principal) Upon asking why she didn't deduct she didn't answer my and told me to buy a T-shirt? I told her it is not month end, and how must I afford it? I asked for the manager. While waiting for manager, she spoke in a language to other customers about this R6, and started laughing? One customer took out R6 and wanted to give it to me?? The manager didn't apologize, and the cashier asked me if I had ever worked in a retail shop and said did I know that she would be short the R6 and that she was going to have to pay it in? It took about 20 min to sort it out, and it cost me at the end to go and fetch a pair of socks of R19-95 to deduct the R6 and pay in R3-95, which the manager said she would pay. Upon exiting they both laughed. I find this appalling, and wonder why they are closing???
