I went to the store to purchase and item that I needed to camp. I had previously seen the item on special at the store. Two days later when I went to the store it was not on special anymore.
I enquired from the store manager whether I could still get it at the old price. He said that unfortunately they could not as head office determined the pricing. I then contacted the national sales manager, who unlike most other companies was more than willing to speak to me directly.
He informed me why they could not meet the old price, but then devised a plan (the details of which are not important) to enable me to actually get the item at the old price (which is substantially less).
The store manager then facilitated the purchase without any issues.
They could easily have gone the other way and stood on policy. Instead they went the extra mile and now they have gained a customer for life.
