Poor Product Support

I purchased a Kelvinator oven, hob and extractor a year ago at Game Century City. Four weeks ago the oven stopped working.
I logged a service call via Game and the Kelvinator repairman was dispatched on the 19th March (Three weeks ago) and established that we need a new "selector switch". e told me that since this is a late model (more than a year old?) there are no parts available at the workshop and that it would need to be ordered from JHB.
Tuesday, 02nd April, I received a sms from Abdus (of Kelvinator) advising that the part will be delivered by the end of the week. It is now 17h33 on Friday, 05th April and I have not heard from anyone of Kelvinator yet again.
What I fail to understand is this:
- Why are there no parts readily available for an item that was purchased a year ago?
- Why does it take longer than two days to courier a part from JHB?
- Why has no-one kept me up to date with the progress?
I have not had the use of the oven for a month. From the company who's logo states: "A global tradition of excellence" I have yet to experience "service" of any kind, much less excellent service.
When can I expect the switch to be delivered and my oven fixed? Are you making it?
