Boxer Superstores
Shame on you Boxers

On Monday, 2 April 2013, at about 17:30, I did some shopping at Boxers Superstores, Lebowakgomo. I checked out at 18:32, with my groceries.

When I had taken a couple of steps outside, I realised that I had forgotten to buy a prepaid airtime voucher.

I went to the door and talked to the security guard who, surprisingly informed me that the shop was closed and I could not enter. I thought the security guard was justbeing unreasonable and demanded to see the manager.

I was shown a lady manning a counter who indicated that she was infact the manager. She berated the security guard for allowing me in after the shop had closed and said categorically that I was not to be served by any till attendant.

In light of such shoddy treatment, I elected to exercise my right and immediately return the groceries I had bought. I informed the manager that I was stepping outside to collect the goods. The security guard either acting on his own initiative or under instruction from the manager, locked me out of the shop.

This was unacceptable conduct. If they did not want my business, it was fine with me, but to lock me out is a violation of my rights under the NCA.
