Engen Petroleum
Disabled parking bay abuse at Vineyard SS

At 18:30 on 01/06/2013 I stopped at the Engen / Woolworths Vineyard Service Station. As I was walking into the store a woman in a white Audi A1 pulled up and parked herself in the disabled parking bay, in full view of petrol attendants and security. I informed the security guard and the manager on duty, who spoke to the woman. She said she would be quick as she only wanted a bottle of olive oil. They proceeded to allow her to enter the shop. I made a comment to the manager that, "Money talks." I joined a long queue and the woman stood behind me with her olive oil. I spoke calmly to her about what she had done, and her excuse was that the parking was full and she didn't know what to do. We paid for our goods and on exiting the shop, the manager and security guard asked her for her name.

I thought they may indeed be giving her a fine, but I saw her drive past me about 10 seconds later, so I assume they probably didn't. If this truly is the case, Engen and Woolworths should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. Truly a disgrace.
