I went to Mr Price home after work. They ring my goods, swiped my Absa credit card with chip 3 times. All three times it was declined. The lady said it happens very frequently to Absa clients.
I know it has happened to me before just after they got their new speed points. That time i had to go to the bank across - not an Absa to draw cash. This costs unneccesary banking charges to my account.
I asked her dont they have another machine or something. She just said sorry, no. I said this is unacceptable, I want to see a manager. Another till operator then commented that its not their fault, why am i upset. I asked them, so because your machine is constantly rejecting Absa clients, I cannot purchase anything from their store? Does that make it my fault? They all just looked at me with absolutely no excuse. The "manager" came out and I explained the situation. He didnt apologize, simply asked me why i dont go and draw cash. This at 17:35 and i still needed to get to another shop before 6. I asked do you think this is acceptable service. He had no comment, no reply, no solution. Simply stated that he will keep the goods if I want to come back tomorrow.
Bad service.
