Great Customer Service

Good day. Please note that on 23/02/2013 we approached your store requesting a 40 cm cake for a 21st Birthday. Knowing that it was short notice we still approached a few stores, however we were turned down by your competitors and their reasons were that there is not enough time and that we should have applied 3 days prior. Thereafter, we decided to approach your store (Pick n Pay, Cape Gate) where were assisted by a lovely lady named Yvonne (Bakery Supervisor). We asked her if she is able to assist us with the request and she did not hesitate at any moment. She gave us that piece of mind that the cake will completed by 15h00 and even wished the birthday boy. We hinted that we would like 21 candles on the cake and she even took us to the aisle and showed us the different options. I was really wowed and blown away, because no other retail company has ever gone these lengths to assist the customer. For me working in a Service Recovery environment this is one of the best behaviours displayed and if this is the standard, I feel your store will be the store of choice and do wonders for the brand of Pick n Pay. Such a commitment to great customer service is to be commended.
