I paid a Jhb Metro account at the Pick n Pay till. I became aware this money had not been paid over to the Metro when the Metro wanted to hand me over to Debt Collectors. Basically Pick n Pay took the money for themselves and they are not returning it. I have had to pay the Metro (including fines and penalties) to avoid prosecution and now trying to get my money Pick n Pay took and they do not seem keen to give it back. I even submitted bank statements showing funds were taken away, letters of demand from the Metro to show the Metro never got paid. I never imagined Pick n Pay bullying a customer this way. Even now I am R3000 out of pocket for trusting the shop and believing they are ethical in their dealings.
