I purchased my wife a gold chain as birthday present and were told by the manager I can return the purchase if not correct, either to exchange on something else or full refund.
We went back to NWJ Woodlands branch to return the chain but were told the original manager Casper that made the sale resigned that same month, and they are not allowed to refund the purchase due to NWJ policy. We were willing to accept a different chain, but again were told they will not refund us the difference in rand value between the first chain and the second (cheaper) chain.
The branch have insuffient stock of the same style chains to choose from, and we want a full refund (as promised by the manager Casper) so we can go to a different branch.
I've been phoning NWJ head-office in Durban for 5 days now and left messages at the receptionist, but I still haven't heard anything from Louise De Gabriele, the Customer Relations manager.
