Account not closed after settlement

I need help and clarity, I had. two accounts with Russell's shop in Kerk street, johannesburg. In December early I requested settlement letters from Russell's and they were sent through Email, then I settled both my accounts on th 6th of December 2012 then later that month I got a call from call centre and they were notifying me that my one account was on arrears, then I explained to the guy that I had settled both my accounts but he could only see one of my accounts as closed I sent proof to head office through an email I didn't get any response then I went to kerk street branch with proof on the 5th January 2013, the lady at accounts told me that he will escalate the matter to head office. Then I never heard from them, I though the matter was finalised but no, on the 12th February 2013 I received a call later and I was been reminded again that my account is in arrears I told the lady that I settled both my accounts in December and asked why am I still receiving these calls, she assured me that she has escalated the matter again, but I can't take this anymore that is why I need help from you peter please assist.
