My husband and I went to the Mr Price Sport at Retail Crossing in Wilgeheuwel. We wanted to buy a pair of Maxed Player Sport shoes. The shoes on display had a price tag in front of it stating R199.00 for the shoes. However when we got t the check out point, they rang it up as R359.99
When I told them that this is not the price stated on the shelf, they went to go check and there was another lady with the same complaint on the same pair of shoes. They then removed the price, saying that it was for the wrong shoes. We looked a bit further, and saw that most of the shoes were incorrectly priced. According to the CPA act the prices shown are the prices the client is supposed to pay for the shoes, especially when the shoes that are displayed has the pricing in front of it. We alerted staff that pricing was wrong on most of the shoe shelves, yet they took no interest in correcting their mistakes. This is not acceptable! Staff needs to put the correct prices with the correct shoes, as this is highly misleading to their clients, and it is against the CPA law.
