I am disgusted and frustrated at the pitiful, useless "service" of Absa home insurance. Over 3 months ago my outer perimeter wall broke due to the excessive rain. The wall is connected to my gate. I contacted Absa insure the next day a contractor came to assess the claim. That was close to 4 months ago. In that time I have had an email from them 2 weeks ago to say they tried calling and could not reach me. Besides that not contact, no matter how much time I have called (waisted money on waiting for my call to be answered), the stories and lack of information the call centre reps know as they all read the same info from a computer. When I have called to ask to speak to a manager I end up on the phone for 20 min and then got cut off. no matter what I ask, inform and explain to a representative for the call centre, how many times I have asked to be escalated, Absa could not care less. Currently I have a wall that with any small movement could fall on some one, both in the street and in my house. I cannot use the gate anymore as the wall has shifted by opening and closing which eventually caused a gap the when my gate was closed the gap between the two door of the gap was big enough that the other night some one from the street pushed at the gap and came onto the property, and currently ass we cannot use that entrance, my neighbour has been kind enough to let us park at them. This is disgusting behaviour and service on Absa part. I have informed the call centre about this and not even a call from them. Makes me sick.
