Pick 'n Pay
Pick n Pay trolley confiscated

We went to Riverside Mall Nelspruit to purchase clothing and groceries. Upon arrival at the Mall I took a P/P trolley in the parking area and loaded our 15 month grandson and off we went to P/P. Went into the shop and then my wife suggested we buy the clothes first and then the groceries. Upon leaving a security lady forced me to leave the trolley in the store because it is the rule of the company that customers may not leave the shop with trolleys, they have a shortage of trolleys. I explained to the lady how we came across the trolley but she was adamant and took the trolley. I was forced to carry my grandson and speaking to the assistant store manager was not aware of the rule. After we bought clothes we bought groceries to the value of R1.7K from Checkers where there are ample trolleys. Upon returning to the parking lot we found several (same amount as upon our arrival) P/P trolleys. It seems that there is no trolley return plan for P/P, they would rather penalize customer relations and chase away customers than doing their work. It was a public embarrassment for the wife and I to be confronted at the shop entrance by a security person.
