Pick 'n Pay
Does your SmartShopper Card belong to you...???

My mother obtained a SmartShopper card when it was launched in store. Being a pensioner I pay 4 groceries of avg R1200--R1400pm 4 her swipe her card 4 points. In December my mother wanted to use her points for Xmas shopping was advised that her card had been disabled as it was reported lost/. It appears that PicknPay did not register her but she could continue using the card as only when you convert points will it show its disabled. Milo advised she had never been registered by them. unless we provided proof of usage there was nothing they could do as this was policy. Despite then submitting proof of usage they now advise that as they are unable to track history or balance of card. After escalation they have said they will award her R100 for her spend. So for 32 months my mother made purchases but due to lack of history by them our old till slips they will give us 10 000 points x1% = R100. If you assume R1200 x 32 months this is R38400 or R384 - this excludes own extra spend. In Dec Jan my mom has spent avg of R500pm on her new card. I purposely did not use new card to buy monthly groceries 2 see her extra spend.. So I remain totally disgusted at response to a pensione
