I live in Mokopane, and unfortunately our Checkers does not stock wool. I know that the Checkers in Mall of the North in Polokwane does, and I don't go very often, so I phoned Checkers Mokopane, and spoke to the manager Dirk. I asked him if it was possible to source wool from Polokwane, for me to buy at my store. He said he would find out and phone me back. Within the hour, he contacted me and said unfortunately not, due to stock code reasons.
That evening, I received an sms from Dirk, saying that the branch manager would be going to Polokwane the Thursday, and maybe I could ask him to arrange something, but that he had been there the previous weekend and that he would let me know when he was going again, he would be able to help me. I really thought that this was excellent service, something as simple as wool, yet the manager is really willing to go the extra mile for a customer. Thank you very much, this manager deserves praise, he really cares about the customers.
