I went to the Bridge Greenacres store at the Begining of May 2013 to purchase a pair or running shoes. I explained to the first sales person to please show me tekkies which have a lot of shock absorption for my heels. To my shock the sales lady told me sorry i have no idea which tekkies would provide this support.
I tried on a few pairs of tekkies and eventually took a pair of saucony guide 5 tekkies. i did walk with the tekkies in the store and they felt comfortable. I started taking part in 5km events only to first think it might be my muscles which are not use to running these distances as my ankles always use to start hurting halfway through the race. This has happened each time i take part in an event. I actually went into another sports store to fetch an entry form and one consultant immediately asked me why do i wear tekkies which are made for people who's feet actually walk inwards. He said asked me dont i experience pain in my ankles as these tekkies push my feet outwards. Now i am sitting with tekkies which i cant wear just because you have incompetent and untrained staff. You would think specialising in a product you would know something about your products.
