Few months ago at the Shoprite store on West Street, Durban, I slipped and fell in store due to wet floors yet there was no "Wet Floor" warning sign placed.
Incident was reported to the store manager about the till manager and other staff members who burst in laughter as they saw me fall but nothing has ever been done about it 'till today.
I've always wondered why my parents hated Shoprite so much yet it is the closest to us.
On that evening, one of the available managers I reported the incident to advised one of the till ladies that even though the store has closed she can kindly give me few minutes with my groceries that I already had in the basket.
The Till manager (Vivica), there after tells me I am wasting her time and she is not here to serve me.
She through such tantrums, using strong language, I didn't even have the heart to use/ eat any of the items I had bought, ended up giving it away.
My mom was so frustrated when she had about this incident, which is similar to an attitude problem she also had with the Shoprite staff of the same store.
That evening I swore that I will never set foot again at any Shoprite store.
Not even one medical bill covered.
