Intentional Double Charge

My wife went into Woolworths Food Hall at the Colloseum at Century City yesterday and made a purchase, after the transaction was completed their system froze, however my wife received an SMS from Diners Club to confirm that the purchase had been made, which was shown to the teller as well as the manager, who then insisted that it is not possible and they have to re-do the transaction, which is obviously not true. The SMS would not have gone off if the money was not charged. Anyway, my wife made the 2nd transaction and he will make a comment on their system straight away so that IF there is a double charge, that it will get refunded immediately. Lo and behold, my wife went there today to see what was happening and the manager hadn't done anything and then said that my wife has to go there with original bank statements showing that 2 transactions went off and refused to accept the 2 SMS's received whilst in their presence the previous day when making the transaction. This is utterly ridiculous and completely unacceptable by Woolworths and the fact that they're a company that "does not respond" proves that they're blatantly ignoring the public's plea for decent customer service!
