Double billing on credit card

On Saturday 23 February 2013 at 12.31 my wife paid with her chip credit card an amount of R 355.54 via their POS system. The transaction was according to cashier not successful, my wife received an SMS from ABSA stating that it was. The lady indicated that this happens on a daily basis and she proceeded to do the transaction on an hand held terminal. This time the transaction was confirmed whereby my wife signed the receipt.
She discussed the matter with Julia on the floor where we proceeded to the office to establish what funds was deducted from her account.
There was 2 amounts deducted of R 354.54 each, Julia indicated that within 24 hours the one amount will be credited. It is now 48 hours further and no credit.
It seems that Fruit and Veg are our money?

I have called the escalation number 0860 007 728 today and logged a complaint.

Resolution
1 Apology from Fruit and Veg for causing undue stress
2 Fix their POS payment system to accept chip cards
3 Reimburse the amount of R354.54 with banking cost
