Verimark Shogun handsfree canopeners dont work

I received a Shogun Handsfree canopener as a present on the 24/12/2013. I registerd this on the website. However it does not cut open all cans as advertisd. I have tried 4 different ones and it does not work. Took it back to Verimark shop yesterday, they tried it and agreed and i was told these are defective but as i have no recipt (although the website says you can log on register it it and its fine) they cant help me, i can just throw it away. I Have spoken to Palesa at Head office and she says, even though it is defective and does not do what they say it can, even though i have registerd the item, no receipt, i can just thorw it away. This is disgusting. I have also complained directly on their websight and todate have no reply. How can they market an item in SA when it does not open any of our well known canned items (Pot O Gold, Koo, Gold Crest and Rhodes). This item is a. When it is seen not to cut as adverised, they say they cannot exchange it, i want the same item, not a refund. Woolworths / Clicks exchange christmas gifts that are defective with no receipt. What has happend with the new CPA act that these people are not adhering to it.
