I purchased a genesis carpet sweeper and the handle broke during use. This was taken to the verimark store. I was told I could not get a refund because the 15 days had passed. I was given the option of taking another sweeper or another item. I consequently agreed to take a vacuum cleaner to the same value. However, I am still not happy with their product as it does not pick up the dirt as I expect it to. I then took this item to a Verimark store to express my dissatisfaction in the product. I was asked to go directly to the Verimark service centre and ask them to test it to ensure that it worked properly. I did this and initially I was told that I needed to leave the item there and they would test it and let me know the outcome. I insisted that I needed to see how it was being tested. I gave the technician a small piece of paper for the vacuum to up as this was the type of problem I was having when I was using the vacuum. The receptionist then told me that this is how it is supposed to work and only pick up dust. She mentioned that she had a vacuum cleaner which also did not pick up small items and there was nothing she could do about giving me a refund.
