Misleading 5 Way Guarantee Information

Cape Union Mart has a policy whereby if a customer purchases an item and the item goes on sale within 30 days of the purchase, they are entitled to receive a refund of the difference. However, it would seem as though the Hemingways Mall branch in East London is not up to speed in this regard. The latest 'Pass the Buck Sale' started on 9 Jan and is running until 2 Feb 2014.We purchased a few pairs of the Rylan shorts that are currently advertised at R100 less than what we paid for them in December. Upon requesting our refund of the difference in price, the branch manager only issued a refund on 1 pair of the shorts, stating that 'its only valid on the camo colour.'However, the printed advert clearly states 'available in multiple colours.'When we queried further, we received the excuse of 'the new ones that have come in have different barcodes to the old ones, so you can't get a refund.'Yet, the product on the shelf is EXACTLY the same product as what we purchased! This is clearly misleading advertising of your 5 way guarantee policy. The manager didn't even have the decency to tell us this herself-she told the cashier to pass the message on. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and misleading advertising.
