Uncharged Item-Over a month to sort out

I purchased some winter clothing from Cape union Mart. The cashier forgot to scan an item.i contacted the head office and store by email. over a month has passed and no reply has come through.i cannot take the item back to the store as i do not live in Durban and there are no stores nearby.
