Misleading pricing

I went to the Tygervalley branch on Christmas eve as I wanted to buy myself a ring. I found the perfect ring and was assisted by Fortuna. It was set in white gold and the price on display was R2 999.00. After fitting it on she placed it back in the display cabinet and I saw what looked like the exact same ring next to it with the display price of R1 499.00. I asked Fortuna what the difference between the 2 rings were and she said the one was set in white gold and the cheaper one was set in yellow gold. I asked if this was the only difference as the yellow gold one was half the price and she said yes. I then said I was going to take the yellow gold one, she removed it from the tray and proceeded to the till so that I could pay. She then said there is a mix up with the price because it scanned as R2 999.00 and we both clearly saw the display said R1 499.00. I then asked to speak to the manager as this is clearly misleading. The manager said there was nothing she could do for me as it was human error. That was it, no apology or client service orientation displayed at all. I work in the client service industry and this pathetic type of service is completely appalling!
