My fianc? e and I went yesterday morning to American Swiss in the Goldfields Mall in Welkom to look for wedding rings and found the perfect ring after a long search and saw the price of R4499.00 with the ring. we were so excited that we found the perfect ring within our budget. when we wanted to pay for the ring, Cindy, the consultant that helped saw that the price on the system was different to the one that was advertised, so she called another consultant to help override the price, but to our disappointment the other consultant said that the price on the system cannot be changed and we had to pay the price of R5499.00. after much argument we asked to see the manager, but she was unfortunately out of the shop and we had to wait somewhat 30 minutes. the manager, Rochelle said that she was sorry but with the Christmas season over and all, that the price advertised on the shelf was human error and that we could either pay the price of R5499 with 10% discount or she could REFUSED to sell us the ring as was her authority. I, which work with customer relations on a daily basis has never seen such arrogance from a branch manager or such poor customer service.
