R7999 DEFY FRIDGE- RUSTING PURCHASED 2009

Purchased fridge 09/2009.2-3 months prior to guarantee expiring, we noticed the paint on the defrost panel started developing bubbles, reported in person to the store manager, who did not believe it possible. He requested our receipt which we did not have gave him the proof of purchase (bank statement) instead. When I followed up with him he advised DEFY would have to come to the residence to check on the fridge at my cost. I refused as we reported the matter whilst guarantee was valid. If we did not follow up with the branch nobody followed up with us. To date there has been no resolution. Whenever we queried we were told they are busy with it. After throwing a tantrum 5/01/14 call was logged with DEFY to check on fridge which is now RUSTED!! Again they did not pitch! No one advised me hereof as usual I had to follow up with the manager. He later calls and says we must pay R2850 DEFY will replace the fridge. How, if they did not come out and why should we pay further R2850 over & above R7999? they claim the useage over the time from purchase justifies the R2850.Seems that the service received match the inferior product sold. We would rather the fridge be replaced, or refer to CPA.
