Listed as slow payer for missing one payment!!!

I got no SMS, no phone call or anything reminding me to pay my account or make an arrangement to do so.
The only thing I got is an SMS saying "Edcon has loaded a slow payer listing to the registered Credit Bureaux...". Missed one payment and taking me to the credit bureaux already?!
