Upgraded to S4 in 09/13 and phone already faulty

In09/2013 I upgraded my Vodacom contract to the S4. While on holiday a family member brought to my attention that the screen was lifting, while I was showing them how the phone just dies when I go into any applications like Facebook, games etc. when we checked the battery we found that it was also swollen. I went to the game store in eastgate and was told that it would take 7 days for them to check the phone and make a decision on whether to change it or not. The consultant said that she spoke to the manager Madida Jabulani who said that it still needed to sent for a technical report. I ex then advised to take it to the Vodacom repair store in the mall which would be quicker, however when I went to the repair store the consultant Vuyi advised that it would take up to a week or two before I would get feedback. I then spoke to the sales manager Matsilele Chauke who advised me that they did not have a replacement phone in store to loan me until my phone was repaired or replaced
