My local Spar in Doornpoort used to be such a neat shop and very convenient for me to shop at. Lately it has just gone down the drain. My complaints are as follows.
1) The bakery section as always full of flies. Nets are thrown over the produce but that does not solve the problem as the flies now just sit on the nets. The fresh rolls are in open baskets and not covered thus leaving it open to the flies.
2) About 3 weeks ago all the fresh vegetables seemed off. Mushrooms were black etc. On investigating I realised that the fridges were not working. I spoke to the Fresh produce manager and he was not even aware that the fridges were not working and he ensured me that they are checked every morning but I did not believe that as the goods indicated that the fridges were off for longer.
3) On 31/01/2013 the shelves were half empty, frozen veg fridges had almost nothing in them.
4) On 02/02/2013 the floor were filthy, flies in bakery section again, frozen veg fridges stll empty, water leaking on the floor which is a potential disater for a elderly person.
5) Fesh meat section was untidy as if no one is tyding during the day.
