To freeze or not to freeze, that is the question

I bought 4 packets of McCain's Roast Its at the end of January 2013, everything seemed fine at the time, but I should have trusted my instinct and not taken the produce as the bags were sticky and the little stock they had left was more defrosted than frozen. I wanted to cook one of the packets, when I opened it there were big chunks of vegetables frozen together as though the freezers at Checkers were shut off and the vegetables defrosted completely and then the fridges were switched on and the vegetables refrozen. I cooked it in the hopes that it would come out alright, but to my dismay the Roast it vegetables were ruined from the defrosting refreezing that occurred. Its not the first time that I've gone to this checkers and seen water on the floor close and around the fridges and the stink around the fridges sometimes puts one off completely. One pays a lot of money for groceries and then to have this happen. I don't think I'll be buying frozen groceries there again. At one occasion I bought fish there which also turned out to be off and the refrigeration trucks were blamed. The staff there are not very friendly, a person doesn't really feel welcome either.
