My fiance bought rotten food from Checkers which was definitely staged outside on the floor and put back into the fridges. This is not a once off problem. Checkers Ladysmith is making a habit of celling food which was damage because their fridges are always in a bad condition. This is illegal and can be reported to the Health department. How many people are getting sick and do not know why? Most of my family and friends a forced to buy their frozen stuff else where. My fiance also experienced full 5 litre Country Fresh ice cream containers standing on the floor for close to an hour before putting into the freezers. That is ridiculous because the ice cream melts and and icy layer forms on the ice cream when frozen again which is horrible. Checkers is the only retail store in Ladysmith where Country Fresh Ice Cream cannot be bought because of the quality. My mother-in-law knew most of the staff in Checkers for years and they are always friendly and helpful and in the overall it is a friendly place to shop at. Why must old and not up to standard freezers and fridges spoil the reputation of the store?
