See my report on 17/12/2013. I only got a response from Markhams now, just to say that they dont see anything wrong with the way they have been treating me. I am deeply dissapointed in Markhams. I had to phone customer service on Wednesday and demand to speak with a manager (Helena van Dyk) who took my call, but insisted that she can only assist me the next day because she had to attend a meeting. She phoned me back the next day, but half an hour later than the time that was agreed upon. The payment was finally allocated to my account, but they neglected to backdate it to the day that I made the payment and the penalty charges still reflect on my account. And worst of all my credit record was tainted. Unacceptable! I cant see how Markhams can allow this to happen to a years long customer. Disgusted! Hopefully Markhams will take less than a month this time round before someone contacts me...
