My wife and my mom bought 5 iTunes cards from the Hillcrest Corner Edgars Active on 24th Dec'13. Late that afternoon my wife received an SMS stating that the items had been sold without activating. I returned to the Edgars Active Store on the 26th Dec (could not use them as Christmas Gifts!) - very blank looks from the personnel, wanted to issue me a credit. I did not want a credit, I wanted the cards activated!
The store ladies at least had the honesty to say that the iTunes cards had been dumped there with no training as to what to do - thanks Edgars - great customer care. I went to the nearby CNA store (SMS marked from CNA) they refused to help - their cards are issued activated.
I went home, a tad frustrated, and called the Edgars customer help line. EVENTUALLY, I got told to go back to the Edgars Store tomorrow - the Store Manager, Patrick, has said that they system was down and thus could not be done. This is absolute hogwash, the staff had not been trained!
Now I have to make a third trip to the store to resolve the issue. Maybe there might be a follow-up frustration to this one tomorrow. Disappointed with Egdars
