Dischem double deduction from Debit Card

I made a purchase today at Dischem Carnival mall.

I was debited twice and received sms proof of both deductions.

I was assured that the reversal will be done immediately, but that the money will only reflect within 48 hours.

I left the branch and went to get a bank statement of proof and returned the proof to the Dischem store within 5 minutes.

An hour and a half later I returned to follow up if the reversal was done and was told by Jabu that the mail was send to head office and seeing that head office was closed, this will only be dealt with on Friday 27 December.

I asked for proof and waited only to find out that the mail was only send whilst I was standing waiting for the above mentioned proof.

When I asked why I was to I was laughed at, where I then demanded to speak to the manager.

The manager was not in and I was left the deal with a very arrogant and unhelpful Aadil, the assistant manager.
