On thursday the 12/12/13, I went into an ackermans store in estcourt, I had a lay-bye slip that my fiance had asked me to pay up and get my son's christmas clothes. I presented the slip to the cashier who asked me for my fiance's and my Id, i explained to her that i wasn't aware that i had to bring any id's and my fiance works in a hotel about 100km's away from estcourt and will only be off on the 27th of december, the cashier then called a supervisor who also told me the same thing, when i pointed out that on the laybye slip (terms and conditions) there is no clause that requires me to bring any documentation, she blew me off and said i was trying to tell her how to do her job, I then asked her to call my fiance since the cell no was on the slip to confirm that she had indeed sent me... she responded by saying she's not talking to me anymore and left me standing there.

I was then forced to spend more money at a different shop so that i can have my son's christmas clothes.

Being in the service industry myself, i find this lack of customer care disgusting and unacceptable, u certainly will never see me enter an ackermans store as long as long as i live.
