I was given a gift card to the value of R380 by a friend which entitled me to a spa manicure and pedicure.
I was asked to choose between an OPI or paraffin treatment. Being a novice to nail treatments I chose the OPI treatment.
As the treatment was about to begin I was told by Mariam that my nail polish may not dry in time and should consider the gel treatment instead as the polish dries quicker. I explained to Mariam that I was novice to getting my nails done and did not know about the various treatments. I also mentioned that I was using a gift voucher. During this time I was not informed that there would be any additional costs nor was I given an explanation of what each treatment entails.
I was absolutely shocked when I received the invoice. I was billed for items including gel overlays and color gel overlays. Seems like the staff purposefully went to town giving " extra" treatments with an unknowing customer. There were extra charges for labor too. When I queried this with Bongiwe I was dismissively given an excuse that OPI treatments cost extra. I was purposely mislead by the staff into siphoning extra money from me. This is daylight!!!
